Lots of blue everywhere you look on these new tennis courts in the Ibandan State of Nigeria - but there was no reason to feel blue as more Wilson and tennis donations landed, or docked, in the west African country thanks to Sam Jalloh and kindly donated items from Wilson Europe in Germany and various individuals in the UK who rallied together unused tennis rackets in the hope to give more disadvantaged African children a chance to participate in tennis!

Rows of tennis rackets, some still fresh in the cellophane bags (that's a really fresh racket!) line up against the net waiting to be played with by eager blue-uniformed school children, some of which, may never have ever held a tennis racket before. Not only can the new rackets from Wilson be played with straight away, but used as prizes for tournaments that can get the whole community involved and give potential players the motivation to train hard and experience the thrill of competition and reward.

Supporting sports growth in Africa can also be a saviour to preventing children getting caught up in the pitfalls of poverty, crime or bad health that plagues third world populations. Hopefully these kind equipment donations will aid teachers and coaches to run clinics and classes and to be able to outreach more young Africans to participate in tennis!

Classes are on! glorious photos of school children ready to play with tennis donations from Wilson Europe and the UK
